Hantavirus Risk Checker

The HantaVirusTests risk checker helps readers organize exposure, symptoms, and official signal context. It is not a diagnostic test.

What the checker asks

  • Possible rodent exposure or contaminated-dust exposure.
  • Reported-area or outbreak context.
  • Known confirmed or probable contact, including Andes virus contact.
  • Early symptoms and urgent warning signs.

How to use the result

Use the result as an educational summary to decide whether official guidance or clinical care is relevant. Severe symptoms require urgent care regardless of the score.

What the checker cannot do

It cannot confirm infection, rule out infection, order a laboratory test, or replace a clinician or public-health authority.
